Short answer: Spain's main venues – Fira Barcelona, IFEMA MADRID and Feria Valencia – publish rules on stand height, fire reaction class and rigging. Fira Barcelona caps stands at 5 m, while IFEMA MADRID allows 4 m with one perimeter element up to 6 m and requires the project one month before build-up. Venue rules that shape your stand design in Spain

Custom stands fail approval most often on height, fire class of materials, rigging and electrics. These are the rules the venues publish:

Fira Barcelona Gran Via

• Maximum stand height is 5 m, provided stand proportions and hall height allow it and visibility is not obstructed.
• Fire reaction: ceilings and walls C-s2,d0; flooring EFL; hanging textiles Class 1 under UNE-EN 13773:2003.
• Rigging is exclusive to Fira de Barcelona via its official suppliers; hanging anything directly from hall ceilings is prohibited.

IFEMA MADRID

• Maximum height of any element is 4.00 m; a single perimeter element may rise to 6.00 m.
• Floor coverings EFL; wall and ceiling construction C-s2,d0; suspended textiles Class 1 under UNE-EN 13773:2003.
• The project is due one month before assembly starts; an approved project is required to begin assembly.

Feria Valencia

• Maximum stand height may not exceed 5 m.
• Decorative coverings and fabrics must be fire class M-1.
• Build-up cannot start without approval of the stand drawings by the Feria Valencia Technical Area.

Rules can differ per show: the organiser's exhibitor manual for your fair always takes precedence. We read that manual before the first design sketch, not after.

Shipping a stand from Istanbul to Spain

Customs framework: Türkiye and the EU have been in a customs union for industrial goods since 31 December 1995 (Decision 1/95). Stand materials made in Istanbul therefore move into Spain without customs duty when they travel with an A.TR movement certificate. Since 8 July 2024 EU member states accept A.TR certificates issued electronically with a QR code. (European Commission – EU–Türkiye trade; European Commission – electronic A.TR (2024))

Exhibits that go back home: Products you display and take back to Türkiye can travel on an ATA Carnet (temporary admission for goods at fairs and exhibitions). Consumables and stand parts that stay or are used up on site cannot go on a carnet; they are declared separately. We confirm the right document set with the customs broker for each shipment. Planning timeline for a custom stand in Spain

1. 16–12 weeks before: book space, send us the floor plan and stand number; we propose a design and budget.
2. 12–8 weeks before: final design, structural details for double-deck or rigged elements, material list with fire certificates.
3. Drawing deadline (set by the venue/organiser – see the rules above): submit stand drawings for approval; order electricity, rigging and other venue-reserved services.
4. 4–2 weeks before: production and pre-assembly in our Istanbul factory, then road or sea freight with the customs documents.
5. Build-up days: installation, electrical connection by the venue's contractor, final check with you before opening.
6. After the show: dismantling, return shipment or storage of reusable parts.

Your stand is designed and manufactured in Europe – in our factory on the European side of Istanbul – and shipped to Spain; on site, installation is coordinated with the services the venue reserves for itself (mains electricity, rigging, sometimes floor plans).
