The show runs 17–21 October 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte in Halls 1–8, including 4B, 5A–5C and 6B. The official MEDICA 2026 floor plan is the interactive hall plan on medica-tradefair.com. MEDICA runs 16–19 November 2026 in Düsseldorf, and Hall 9 is closed for renovation. SIAL stand designs were due by 31 July 2026. At MEDICA, two-storey and special structures need Messe Düsseldorf approval six weeks before build-up.

How the halls are organised: SIAL groups exhibitors into sectors: organic and wellness, beverages, groceries, food processing, pulses/grains/fruits, seafood, dairy products, frozen food, catering/snacking and meat products. Your sector sets your hall, which in turn sets your neighbours and aisle traffic.
Opening hours: Saturday to Tuesday 10:00–18:30. Wednesday 10:00–17:00, with last admission at 14:00.
SIAL 2026 stand-construction rules
These come from the SIAL 2026 Architecture & Decoration Rules and the Exhibitors’ Guide:

The Exhibitors’ Guide says bare stands, reused stands and fitted stands must all be “submitted for approval by July 31st, 2026, at the latest”. Non-compliant stands may be dismantled at the exhibitor’s expense.
Remaining SIAL 2026 deadlines:
- 30 September 2026: send service badges to your suppliers. Contractors must be registered in the Exhibitor Area to get assembly and dismantling badges.
- 7 October 2026: order electricity, internet, water and meeting rooms before the price increase on 8 October.
MEDICA 2026 floor plan
Where the official plan is: the hall and site plans page at https://www.medica-tradefair.com/en/Visit/Preparation/Hall_site_plans. It offers:
- an interactive hall plan, where you search an exhibitor and see the hall and stand number;
- a PDF site map that shows where each theme is located.
Halls and themes: MEDICA 2026 uses Halls 1, 3–7.0, 7a, 7.1, 10–12 and 15–17. COMPAMED runs in parallel in Halls 8a and 8b. Messe Düsseldorf says: “Hall 9 will be completely renovated and technically re-equipped in 2026 and 2027”. It will not be available as an exhibition hall. Exhibitors were allocated to halls at the start of the approval process at the end of June 2026. The hall plan page lists the theme areas, including laboratory and diagnostics, digital health and start-ups, and country pavilions.
Opening hours: visitors Monday–Wednesday 10:00–18:00 and Thursday 10:00–16:00. Exhibitors 08:30–19:00.
Size of the show: MEDICA reports “78.000 Visitors From 160 Countries” and “4.821 Exhibitors From 70 Countries” on its facts and figures page.
MEDICA 2026 stand-construction rules (Messe Düsseldorf Technical Guidelines 2026)

Messe Düsseldorf’s rule is six weeks before the start of construction. MEDICA’s build-up begins on 10 November, so check the exact submission date in the MEDICA exhibitor service portal. Late submissions pay the 35% surcharge.
How to use a floor plan to plan your stand
- Find your stand number on the interactive plan and note the hall, the open sides and the neighbours.
- Check your hall’s height limit. At MEDICA, the same stand could be limited to 4 m in Hall 7.0 or allowed 8 m in Hall 1.
- Mark the setbacks. At SIAL, anything above 2.50 m must sit 1.00 m back from neighbours and aisles, which reduces usable wall area on small stands.
- Plan open sides. SIAL requires aisle-facing façades to be at least 50% open.
- Put the deadlines in the calendar: design approval, badge registration, service orders and build-up slot.
- Order venue services (power, water, suspension points) from the organiser or venue. Your builder designs around them.
