MWC Barcelona 2027 at a glance

MWC Barcelona 2027 runs from Monday 1 to Thursday 4 March 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The venue has eight halls linked by a walkway, and Hall 8 houses the convention centre. GSMA hosts the show, and the main halls are entered through the MWC Entrance (South). The 4YFN start-up event uses the North entrance, while the Talent Arena is held at a separate venue, Fira Montjuïc.

Floor plan and getting there

GSMA publishes the floor plan on its maps page. When we checked on 16 October 2026 the 2027 page showed only a heading and the dates, so stand locations are not public yet. Exhibitors receive theirs through GSMA's online Event Manual; look at the maps page again once your stand is allocated.

To reach the main halls by metro, change to line L9 at Collblanc or Torrassa and get off at Europa Fira. FGC trains run from Plaça Espanya to Europa/Fira, and city buses H16 and V1 serve the MWC entrance. Taxis wait at the MWC Entrance (South) on event days, and private cars drop off on c/ Salvador Espriu.

Rules that apply

GSMA's Event Manual sets the stand construction rules for MWC, including heights, contractors and deadlines. We do not repeat its limits here, because GSMA can change them between editions; read the stand construction chapter before you brief a designer.

Beneath that sit the venue's own Gran Via regulations. They give a general maximum stand height of 5 metres where the hall allows it, and say the height can vary with the event regulations. Double-deck stands with upper-floor access count as complex structures: they need authorisation from Fira, a project signed by a certified technician and, at Fira-organised events, an upper floor of no more than 50% of the allocated area. A closed space under a second level needs a professional smoke detection system. Basic rigging points come exclusively from Fira de Barcelona, and ceilings and walls must reach fire class C-s2,d0, with certificates from an accredited laboratory issued within the previous five years.
