DWTC runs both its city-centre venue and the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai, which it plans to expand to 180,000 m² by 2031. Several large fairs now use DEC: GITEX Global 2026 is at Expo City Dubai, Automechanika Dubai 2026 moves to DEC after 22 editions at DWTC, and Gulfood 2027 and WHX Dubai 2027 are split across DWTC and DEC. In Abu Dhabi, ADNEC Centre offers 153,678 m² of event space across 12 interconnected halls.

- DWTC: full design details of double-deckers and unusual structures go to the DWTC Event Planner and must be approved and signed by the DWTC Structural Engineer and Health and Safety.
- DWTC: materials and drapes must be fire retardant in accordance with NFPA 701.
- DWTC: the Event Services Department is the sole provider of top and primary rigging. At ADNEC, anything hung from the hall roof is installed by ADNEC.
- ADNEC: no fixing to or penetration of the building fabric, structure or floors except by ADNEC's authorised representatives.
- Stand height limits are set per fair and per zone (for example 4 m in DWTC concourses) – always check the organiser's technical manual.
